Craigflower Elementary is a school rich in history and culture, and is located in Saanich, alongside the beautiful Gorge Waterway. Craigflower School has a range of ethnic backgrounds, and is located on the traditional territories of the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. We are proud of our diverse student population, many with rich Indigenous cultures, and we share and celebrate this throughout the school and curriculum. Craigflower Elementary School provides a strong academic program and a positive, engaging learning environment for students. Our classroom doors are always open to welcome parents in to participate in their children’s learning.
Our school has a K-5 program that has a balanced emphasis on academics and in Fine Arts. Our Craigflower staff are highly experienced and caring, many of whom have had a long and rich history with the school. We are proud to offer a district full day Indigenous Kindergarten program which incorporates teachings from the Indigenous culture, our wonderful Strongstart early childhood programme. We have many support systems in place at Craigflower School such as our Youth & Family Counsellors, and the Esquimalt and Songhees Indigenous school liaison personnel. We are proud to be a part of community programs such as the Songhees Indigenous Early Childhood Education Centre, PISE sports programmes. Our Parent Advisory Council works hard to provide field trip opportunities for our students, along with, family dances, and fine arts support. We welcome you to drop by anytime to see our programmes in action.
